There we were...

הסיפור של "חיננית" מתחיל בשנת 1985, בקיבוץ אפק, כאשר שלוש נשים צעירות חושבות להקים עסק קטן שיהיה קרוב לליבן, בו יוכלו לממש את כישרונותיהן.

באותן שנים (ימי שנות ה-80), הקיבוץ היה צריך למצוא פתרון תעסוקתי עבור כל הנשים הקשישות שלא יכלו כבר לעסוק בעבודה פיזית מאומצת מדי אבל עדיין לא רצו "לצאת לפנסיה".

3 הבנות החליטו להרים את הכפפה ולספק מענה עבור אותן נשים קשישות. הן חיפשו מקום בו יוכלו לממש את הפוטנציאל הנשי, מחד, ולברוא מוצר חזק ועסק מצליח, מאידך.

זה אולי המקום לספר ש-3 הנשים המוכשרות היו: האחת- אמנית ובעלת טעם אישי משובח, השניה- תופרת בעלת ידי זהב, והשלישית- יזמית בנשמתה וברוחה. וכך הגו שלושתן את הרעיון להקים מפעל קטן לייצור בובות וצעצועים מבד.

הן מצאו מפעל בדים שעמד למכירה, קנו אותו והחלו לתפור בובות בדמויות של חיות, משאריות של בדים (עד היום כמעט כל החומרים מהם עשויות הבובות, ממוחזרים).

מאז 1985 ועד היום, מושקעת בייצור צעצועי הבד אהבה רבה, עבודת יד וגימור איכותי. 

ואפילו היום, לאחר יותר מ-25 שנים, נשמר החזון ועובדות ב"חיננית" נשים שלקחו חלק בבניית הקיבוץ והן עדיין תורמות ויוצרות בו עבור דור העתיד.

"Hinanit" story begins at 1985, in Kibbutz Afek, with three young woman who wished to create a small business, where they could put their talents into action.

At that time (the days of the 80's), the Kibbutz had to find an employment solution for all the elderly women that couldn't do a physical work as before, but didn't want to stop working.

These three girls decided they will find the answer for elderly women, and looked for an idea that combines "girl power" with a strong product and a successful business.

 Now it's time to mention that one of these 3 woman was an artist with an excellent taste, the second was a talented seamstress and the third was an entrepreneur at heart and soul.

So they came up with an idea to build a small workshop of handmade toys manufacture.

They found a fabric factory that was about to be shut, bought it and started to make toys of animal figures with fabric leftovers

 (until today, most of all toys material are recycled).

Since 1985 until today, "Hinanit" manufacturing process is filled with a great love and a high standard handicraft.
 After more than 25 years the vision remains and "Hinanit" is employing women which helped building this Kibbutz and its society and still contributing their passion and joy to the future generations.
